More Than Clothing

Why We’re Building This — More Than Clothing

When we started Robore Mentis Apparel, we had two clear missions.

The first was simple:
To create premium-quality clothing without inflated prices. No hype. No shortcuts. Just well-made gear that people can rely on. And we’re proud of what we’ve built so far — with more lines and designs still to come.

But the second mission was always bigger.

We wanted to build something beyond clothing. A community. A safe space. A place where people could just be… people.

Both of us come from the Royal Marines and now serve as firefighters. Through that journey, we’ve been exposed to the realities of high-pressure environments, both physically and mentally. We’ve seen firsthand how mental health struggles show up in the Armed Forces, the emergency services, and everyday life — often quietly, often unnoticed.

And the truth is, it still isn’t spoken about enough.
Not enough is being done.

Veterans have some support, but not enough.
999 workers often push through, but don’t always get the chance to offload.
And many people outside of these worlds feel just as overwhelmed — but without anywhere to turn.

So we decided to do something about it.

A Simple Idea. A Powerful One.

We’re not trying to change the world overnight.
We’re not claiming to have all the answers.

But if we can make a small difference — one conversation, one walk, one moment of clarity at a time — then it’s worth it.

The idea is simple.

We’ll organise regular outdoor meet-ups — walks, cycles, hikes — and post the details on our socials. We’ll share the location, time, and postcode. You can meet us there, join us for the full route, or just turn up for a bit. No pressure. No expectations.

Just movement. Fresh air. And space to breathe.

Sometimes, a change of scene does more than anything else. Sometimes, getting outside is enough to quiet the noise in your head. Sometimes, having something to look forward to makes all the difference.

That’s what we’re building.

This Is For Everyone

This isn’t just for veterans.
This isn’t just for 999 workers.

Yes, those worlds are close to our hearts. But this is open to everyone.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed…
If you’re struggling quietly…
If life feels loud…
If you just want to walk and talk…

You’re welcome.

No labels. No judgement. Just people.

Why This Matters to Us

We’ve both seen the power of getting outside, moving, and talking — or sometimes, not talking at all.

Personally, when my head gets full, I take myself off into the hills. No phone. No noise. Just walking. It works wonders.

We want to create that opportunity for others.

Something to aim for.
Something to look forward to.
Something that reminds you that you’re not on your own.

Join Us

We want this to grow.
We want it to be shaped by the people who turn up.
And we want it to feel real — not forced.

If you’ve got questions, drop us a comment or send us a private message. We’re always open for a chat.

Details of our next walk will be posted below.

No pressure.
No expectations.
Just turn up.
